Domaine Bigno Garrigo

Domaine Bigno Garrigo is located in the south of France in the stunning Hérault region of Languedoc Rousillon. A former wine “chai”, it stands in grounds of nearly 3 acres, with colourful garden areas, an olive grove and a large area of “garrigue” with wild herbs and a variety of flora and fauna. We are surrounded by vineyards in a beautiful valley in the heart of wine country between St Chinian and Puisserguier.

We offer 5 self catering apartments all with their own private terrace and BBQ area. Just a few steps from your holiday home, you can enjoy the 50 sq m pool (enclosed and alarmed for child safety). To keep you all entertained, outside we have a boules pitch, table tennis table, volleyball and badminton court. There is also a free WiFi internet connection.

For a really relaxed arrival, order our starter pack of basic essentials to see you through until you feel fit for shopping, and/or our arrival meal which can be waiting for you in your property (see our “ wine & dine” page). During the summer months a welcome BBQ and sumptuous table d'hote meal will be offered each week. Shopping is convenient and easy, with local wines, charcoal, and other sundries available from us, whilst the nearest local shops and markets are just a few minutes’ drive away. We provide laundry facilities and all the properties are fitted with insect screens.

If you prefer something a bit more active, there are fantastic opportunities for walking and cycling on tracks and trails between the vines. Tennis, horse riding and golf courses are all close by. However you shouldn't miss the chance to try kayaking, canyoning or fishing on the spectacular river Orb.

A 25 minute drive south takes you to long sandy Mediterranean beaches, or north up into the Montagne Noire in the Languedoc National Park. If exploring markets and historic villages is more to your liking then you must visit Minerve, Olargues, Roquebrun, Pézenas or wonderful Carcassonne.

For the wine connoisseur we are fortunately located in the heart of St Chinian wine country with Faugeras and several other superb AOC regions just next door! To accompany the great wine there is also a good selection of excellent local restaurants to suit all palates.
